Role Description

This is a full-time in-person role as a Postdoctoral Researcher in AI located in Santa Barbara, California. The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for conducting advanced research in AI4science, designing and performing experiments, analyzing data, and publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals and top AI conferences. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with applied scientists, mentoring graduate students, and contributing to grant writing and project proposals.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant field such as AI, ML, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics.

• Expertise in AI/ML, experimental design, data analysis, and research methodologies

• Publications in top AI conferences: NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, AAAI, etc.

• Strong background in conducting independent research and publishing in peer-reviewed journals

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent coding skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team of researchers

• Experience in mentoring and guiding graduate students is a plus

• Strong organizational and project management skills
